This piece was displayed in an exhibition based around the student run open-workbook.com. The piece displayed a running gif of abstracted imagery taken from locations directly around the show space accompanied by the following text:
The experience and relationship a viewer has with an exhibition is abstract and not necessarily quantifiable. But viewers do leave having changed in some way, no matter how small and unimportant. The point of this work is to explore how entering and experiencing an exhibition can change someone's previous perceptions when they leave. Do people see things differently than when they entered? Imagery is taken from the street of the location and environment surrounding the building. The visuals are then distorted and altered using techniques and language informed by the work and process within the exhibition. How does interacting and experiencing an exhibition alter one's previous perceptions?
